Despite his already having a gorgeous girlfriend of his own age-group, a teenage boy develops a lustful crush on an older women. An intimacy soon develops between the teenage boy and the older lady; she is feeling extremely lonely due to her live-in lover's being away for a few days, and so the teenage boy is perfect company in her time of need. During their time together, the boy naively assumes that the lady has genuinely fallen for him; however, when her live-in lover returns and the teenage boy catches them making love, the boy realizes to his shock that the woman had merely used him as a "boy toy" for temporary comfort. Now heartbroken, the boy must make sense of his feelings; he soon realizes that his relationship with his own similar-aged girlfriend is far more suitable and satisfying, anyway.
The film's French-language title translates to "Hot Bodies" in English.

The copiously-blazing fireplace that is repeatedly shown in Helene's house (especially during the beginning of her lengthy "intimacy session" with the teenager Eric) is a "visual pun" reference to the lustful "fires" that are burning inside the woman's and boy's minds throughout the film.

An interesting and somewhat humorous "opposite similarity" exists in the "Corinne at the brothel and role-playing a crying infant" scene: the in-her-late-30's Helene is languishing miserably at home and feeling heartbroken and "sexually lonesome" with her lover Francois's being temporarily away at the brothel and "servicing" other women, and so she accepts sexual solace from the teenage Eric, who has developed genuine feelings for the comely blonde matron. And at the same time, Eric's cute young soulmate Corinne is also feeling lonely and "neglected" from Eric's absence while he's dallying with Helene, and so Corinne travels away from her hometown to the same brothel where Francois has sojourned, and is attempting to alleviate her pining for Eric by availing herself of any available "servicing" from one or more of the brothel's older male "customers" who have zero feelings for Corinne personally, but who are simply giving her what she wants merely as a way to satisfy and relieve their own sexual cravings. Eric's father and mother are shown to be at the brothel, as well; Dad plays the part of the blind man, and Mom is the wig-wearing lady --- "like parents, like son" in the "sexually-starved department", apparently.
