Samara Weaving occasionally stayed in full Nix costume after long days of shooting on set. She revealed that she was frequently refused service at diners and the like because it made people so uncomfortable.
------------------------
The movie playing on Miles TV when he and Nix are in his apartment is Hard Target staring Jean Claude Van Damme in which they hunt people for sport.
------------------------
Samara Weaving has a tattoo of the Deathly Hallows symbol from the Harry Potter movies, which gave Daniel Radcliffe his big break.
------------------------
In one scene, legendary first person shooter game DOOM's versions can be seen on a coffee table. Many scenes in the movie are inspired from first person shooter, which DOOM made popular.
------------------------
Daniel Radcliffe and Ned Dennehy both appeared in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010).
------------------------
The part where Nix hits Dane with the hammer and we see an x-ray view of the bones cracking is taken from the Mortal Kombat fighting game series.
------------------------
Dane uses the phrase "Stop. Hammer Time" before attacking Nix with a hammer. This is a line from M.C. Hammer's rap song "U Can't Touch This". After taking a bit of meth, Nix holds the hammer in the air and yells "I have the power!", the key line from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (1983) when Prince Adam uses the power of his sword to transform into He-Man. Subsequently, Nix kills Dane while Rick James' song "Super Freak" is playing on the soundtrack. "U Can't Touch This" heavily samples "Super Freak", especially the opening bassline, which is heard in the film.
------------------------
Right after the large explosion near the end, Nova tries to run away from Riktor. As they struggle, a large piece of plaster falls off the wall. Moments later, as they rush to the stairs to the helicopter, the piece of plaster is back in place.
------------------------
Shortly after Nix has two fingers cut off her right hand there is a close up of her hand holding a hammer aloft with all her fingers intact.
------------------------
With his fingers screwed or braced to the handguns, Miles had lot of troubles handling many things as shown earlier in the film. He seemingly had managed to escape from the BMW car after the collision by pulling the door latch to open the rear passenger door.
